The Glazer Family Foundation was founded in 1999 to assist charitable and educational causes in the West Central Florida region. That mission is ongoing, as the Foundation has continued to aid not-for-profit organizations that work with youth and families to create programs that support positive social and economic development within our communities. Since it was launched, the Foundation has donated millions in grants, tickets and merchandise to the Tampa Bay area.

Each year, the Foundation provides over $50,000 in grant money to non-profit organizations. The grants are awarded in the summer and fall of each year after recipient organizations are selected from an application process. In the summer of 2008, seven non-profit organizations received grants. Below is a list of the organizations that received grants this past August:

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County * Community Action Stops Abuse * Excelsior Education & Training Foundation * Pinellas Association for Retarded Children * Plant City Children's Theatre * Special Kids Dance & Performing Arts * Tampa Bay Academy of HopeThe Foundation is currently accepting applications for the fall grant cycle. The due date to submit applications is November 1, 2008. To apply for a 2008 Glazer Family Foundation grant, please visit the Foundation's web site by clicking here.
