Mike Evans Catch for Christmas
This past December, Mike Evans and his wife, Ashli, hosted their sixth annual Catch for Christmas event as part of the Mike Evans Family Foundation. Evans, the Buccaneers 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, hosted 16 kids from local non-profit Metropolitan Ministries and their families at the AdventHealth Training Center for lunch, games, a facility tour and a special Christmas surprise with gifts for all the families.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Holiday Home Build and Revival, presented by Slide Insurance
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough joined forces once again to address affordable housing in Hillsborough County, kicking off this year's Holiday Home Build and Revival, presented by Slide Insurance. Leading into the holiday season, members of the Bucs' roster donated funds towards the build of a Habitat home, with the Bucs' organization matching their contributions to fund the construction and repairs of homes in East Tampa.
Winter Fest, presented by The Baldwin Group
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and The Baldwin Group, the Official Insurance Broker of the Buccaneers, hosted a Winter Fest for military families affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. In collaboration with the American Red Cross, nearly 40 military families took part in several holiday themed activities including cookie decorating, arts and crafts, and interactive games alongside Bucs' cheerleaders and Captain Fear.
Outside Linebackers Team Up With Celebrate Birthdays
In celebration of the holiday season, the Buccaneers outside linebackers hosted four families from local nonprofit Celebrate Birthdays for a holiday party at the AdventHealth Training Center. The families enjoyed dinner and games on the patio before being surprised with Christmas presents courtesy of the players.
O-Line Lights Up Christmas
Continuing an annual tradition, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive line surprised dozens of children with gifts and a shopping spree as part of its annual "O-Line Lights Up Christmas" event. This year, 70 children selected by Heart Gallery of Tampa joined the Buccaneers for an evening of shopping, with each child receiving a Target shopping spree as well as a Nike gift card.
Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation Passing the Joy
For the sixth-consecutive year, Baker and Emily Mayfield hosted a "Passing the Joy" holiday event. At the event, Baker and Emily played games before distributing gifts and providing meals, gifts and gift cards for nearly 100 kids to "pass the joy" to others. The two also made a $15K donation to support programs housed at The Dream Center of Tampa.
Inside Linebackers Paired with Metropolitan Ministries and Wheels of Success
To kick off the New Year, members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by veteran linebacker Lavonte David, donated a pair of vehicles to two local single mothers at the AdventHealth Training Center. Through a community partnership with local nonprofits Metropolitan Ministries and Wheels of Success, the vehicles were gifted to two single mothers who have dealt with homelessness and a lack of reliable transportation. Now, both will be able to sustain full-time employment while limiting their out-of-pocket costs on public transportation, increasing their time spent with their children.
