Thanks to the outpouring of fan support on November 22 at Raymond James Financial's "Sack Hunger" collection drive, local food banks will be able to provide more than 15,000 additional meals to needy families during the holidays. All season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans have been tremendous in their support of the less fortunate in our community, and Sunday offers another chance to give back.
When the Buccaneers play host to the New York Jets this Sunday, December 13, the Glazer Family Foundation and U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will collect new, unwrapped toys during the annual "Toys for Tots" drive at Raymond James Stadium. Each year, the Toys for Tots drive brightens the holidays for thousands of children in the Bay area, thanks to the generosity of Buccaneer fans who generously mix giving with their game-going.
Marines will collect toys at the yellow collection stations outside all gates and club entrances until the end of the first quarter on Sunday. The donated toys will be distributed to underprivileged children throughout the Tampa Bay area. This is the 33rd year the Buccaneers and the Marine Corps have united to bring smiles to the faces of children during the holiday season.
Also, each fan who donates an item on Sunday will be entered into a drawing to win an authentic team-signed item. A raffle will be held during the game and the winner will be announced before the conclusion of the contest. Thank you in advance, Bucs fans, for making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate in our community.
