In 2025, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will usher in a pinnacle: 50 years of football. The organization will celebrate the 50-year mark since the club's inaugural campaign in 1976 as an expansion team. Over the years, specific moments created palpable excitement and legendary names sparked cheers from fans. This upcoming season, the Bucs will recognize the Top 50 players in franchise history. Fans will have the opportunity to cast a vote for their favorite stars. Voting will run through May 30. The final results will be announced during Training Camp and contestants have 151 players to choose from. The players that are eligible meet one of the following criteria:

  • Started at least 50 games for the Bucs
  • Top 5 in a major team statistical category
  • Voted to a Pro Bowl or First or Second-Team All Pro
  • Part of an iconic moment in Bucs history

Throughout the voting window, we are taking a look at each position group of eligible players, continuing with cornerback. The Bucs have 12 cornerbacks who are eligible for the Top 50 ranking and fans can select two from the subsequent list. Eligible fans who vote will be entered into a sweepstakes to win some amazing prizes. To vote, click this link. Of the list, Rondé Barber is a member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Ring of Honor. Barber finished his career with 47 interceptions and 28 sacks, leaving him as the only player in NFL history with at least 45 and 25, respectively, in those categories. He's the NFL's all-time sack leader for cornerbacks and also made 88 tackles for loss. Twice he intercepted three passes in a game, and six times he forced at least two turnovers in a game. He scored 14 touchdowns on returns: eight interceptions, four fumbles and two deflected punts. Barber's breakout season came in 2001. He led the NFL with 10 interceptions, leading to the first of his three All-Pro honors and first of five Pro Bowl invitations.

Darrelle Revis was a four-time first-team All-Pro (2009-2011, 2014) and he earned seven Pro Bowl nods (2008-2011, 2013-15) and was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 2010s. The lockdown corner played for the Bucs in 2013 and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Brian Kelly spent a decade with the Bucs (1998-2007) and twice led the team in interceptions, including the Super Bowl year. Kelly spent the first three years of his career at nickel, before transitioning to the outside opposite Barber.
