In 2025, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will celebrate their 50th season in stellar fashion and have created a unique opportunity for fans. Since the team's inaugural season in 1976, numerous impact-makers have donned the Bucs' threads through the years. Many individuals have left their mark on the gridiron, etching their stamp in team lore. This season, the Bucs will recognize the Top 50 players in franchise history. Voting will run through May 30. The final results will be announced during Training Camp and 151 players are eligible to be selected after meeting one of the following criteria:
- Started at least 50 games for the Bucs
- Top 5 in a major team statistical category
- Voted to a Pro Bowl or First or Second-Team All Pro
- Part of an iconic moment in Bucs history
Throughout the voting window, we are taking a look at each position group of eligible players, continuing with wide receiver. The Buccaneers have 16 pass-catchers who are eligible for the Top 50 ranking and fans can vote for three out of the mix. Of the group of receivers is Joey Galloway, who was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 1995, won the NFL receiving title in 1999 and set a franchise single season record for a rookie with 67 receptions and 1,039 yards in 1995. The current Bucs' tandem of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin is one of the NFL's most esteemed. Evans recorded his 11th straight 1,000-yard season in 2024, extending his own NFL record for the longest-such streak to begin a player's career. With his 11th such season overall, Evans tied Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice (11 from 1986-96) for the most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history. Godwin comes in second in several franchise categories, including touchdown receptions, receiving yards, receptions, career 100-yard receiving games and career multi-touchdown games.
