HEAD COACH TODD BOWLES
(On RB Chase Edmonds and OLB Shaquil Barrett practicing, and if everyone is one available for Sunday's game against Detroit)
"No, they're still questionable, but hopefully trending the right way."
(On the importance of gaining yards after catch on offense and limiting it on defense)
"It's huge. They've got a lot of catch-and-run guys. They've got some very good athletes over there. If they can give them a three- or five-yard pass, they can turn it into 15-, 20-, even 50-yard gains. That's going to be critical for us, tackling in open space. On the flip side, we've got to continue to try and get YAC yards when we catch the ball."
(On if he remembers the only game he played in Detroit when he was a player)
"I think we won 38-35 but Barry Sanders had a hell of a day."
(On his message to the team going into this week)
"Don't change anything we've been doing. We know what kind of crowd we're going into, we know they're a good football team. We've got to continue to weather the storm in the first quarter and make sure we come out fast."
(On following up on his mention of weathering the storm in the first quarter)
"It's going to be loud. It's going to be loud, it's going to be noisy. They're going to come out red hot [and] we've got to make sure we understand what we're doing and not panic."
(On how much Tampa Bay's playoff experience helps as they try to make a postseason push)
"It helps you as far as calmness and understanding going into certain stadiums, but as far as playing, you've got to play the game just like it was your first time."
