The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Eight contest at Nissan Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
The most anticipated news for the Buccaneers was the status of outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul, who is not on the list of inactives below. He'll be making his 2019 debut after returning from a neck injury and the Bucs hope he will significantly amplify their pass rush. Pierre-Paul led the Buccaneers with 12.5 sacks in 2018.
The only other question mark for the Buccaneers heading into Sunday was the availability of right tackle Demar Dotson, who missed the team's Week Six game with a hamstring injury. Dotson was questionable on the final injury report of the week but has been cleared to play. However, right guard Alex Cappa remains out, so veteran Earl Watford will fill in at that spot for a second straight game. Notably, the Bucs' two active offensive line reserves are tackles – Josh Wells and Jerald Hawkins – with rookie center Nate Trewyn deactivated.
The Buccaneers will also be without starting tight end O.J. Howard, who suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the week. First-year tight end Tanner Hudson is active for the first time this season.
The Titans will also be without their top pass-catching tight end, as Delanie Walker is inactive due to an ankle injury. Tennessee's defense will be missing its slot corner, as Adoree' Jackson is also out with a foot ailment.
