The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Five contest at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
The Buccaneers will be without wide receiver Breshad Perriman and linebacker Jack Cichy, both of whom were ruled out on Friday. However, rookie linebacker Devin White will return to action after missing most of three games with a knee injury. Cornerback Ryan Smith will also make his 2019 debut, as he was activated from the exempt list on Saturday. Smith has been one of the team's better special teams players over the past two seasons.
New Orleans will be without defensive end Trey Hendrickson, who leads the team with 3.0 sacks. Of course, the more significant absence is that of quarterback Drew Brees, who was expected to miss six to eight weeks after injuring the thumb on his throwing hand in Week Two.
