BUCCANEERS SIGN RYAN SUCCOP

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed kicker Ryan Succop.

Succop (6-2, 218) spent the last six seasons with the Tennessee Titans (2014-19), converting on 117-of-140 field goals (83.6 percent) and 178-of-188 extra-point attempts (94.7 percent) over 86 career games with Tennessee.

Prior to joining the Titans, Succop played his first five NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2009-13) – the team that made him a seventh-round selection in the 2009 NFL Draft. Over 80 career games with the Chiefs, Succop connected on 119-of-147 field goals (81.0 percent) and all 160 of his extra-point attempts. He was a member of the 2009 NFL All-Rookie Team after making 86.2 percent (25-of-29) of his field goals in his first year.

Through his first 10 years in the league, Succop has hit 236-of-287 career field goals (82.2 percent) and 338-of-348 career extra points (97.1 percent). He has appeared in four career playoff games, all with the Chiefs, making all four of his field goals tries and all nine of his extra-point attempts. Succop is a five-time Special Teams Player of the Week, and was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in September of 2017. The Hickory, North Carolina, native played collegiately at South Carolina.

In addition, Tampa Bay has waived K Elliott Fry.
