Played in six postseason games, with two starts, recording 22 tackles, four passes defensed, two interceptions and one special teams tackle.
Against Atlanta (9/19/21), recorded two interceptions returned for touchdowns, becoming just the third player in team history to return multiple interceptions for a touchdown in a single game, joining Rondé Barber (10/22/06 vs. Philadelphia) and Dwight Smith (Super Bowl XXXVII vs. Oakland).

Tied for the league lead in interceptions returned for a touchdown (also Rasul Douglas, Trevon Diggs), the most by a Buccaneers player since 2014 (Danny Lansanah).
Contributed to a Buccaneers defense that allowed the fifth-fewest points per game (20.8) and seventh-fewest yards per play (5.20) while ranking third in the NFL in rush defense (92.5 yards per game), allowing the fourth-fewest yards per pass play (5.97), recording the seventh-most sacks (47.0) and tying for the fifth-most takeaways (29).
Recorded four tackles in season opener against Dallas (9/9).

Edwards is the first player since 1992 with two interceptions returned for touchdowns in the fourth quarter of a single game (Robert Massey, 10/4/92 vs. Washington.
Edwards is the first player in the NFL to record multiple interceptions returned for a touchdown in the same game since 2012 (Tennessee LB Zach Brown vs. Jacksonville, 12/30/12). There are only 31 instances in NFL history of a player recording multiple pick-sixes in the same game, including postseason.

In Weeks 6-7, Tampa Bay held opponents under 175 net passing yards, the first time doing so since 2018.

Registered an interception against N.Y. Giants (11/22), picking off a pass from Giants QB Daniel Jones that was deflected by Buccaneers LB Devin White. Also had two tackles (one for loss).
 Part of a defense that limited the Giants to 215 total yards, including 149 yards passing.
Tallied two tackles, two passes defensed and his first career forced fumble at Indianapolis (11/28), with teammate Lavonte David recovering the fumble to help set up a Buccaneers touchdown drive. Also recorded a tackle on kickoff coverage.
Notched seven tackles at Carolina (12/26). Edwards was part of a defense that held Carolina to six points and 4.1 yards per play en route to helping Tampa Bay clinch the team's first NFC South division title since 2007.

COLLEGE:
Did not miss a game in his collegiate career, playing in 51 career games at Kentucky (2014-18), starting the final 44. He totaled 318 tackles (20.5 for loss), 23 passes defensed, 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.Â
Finished his career ranked second in school history in tackles by a defensive back, while his 10 career interceptions ranked fourth in school history.
Named second-team All-SEC by the Associated Press as a senior (2018), while recording 82 tackles (nine for loss), six passes defensed and two interceptions. Was a member of the Thorpe Award Watch List and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List.
As a junior (2017), recorded 97 tackles (four for loss), seven passes defensed and one sack, earning All-SEC distinction from Phil Steele.
In 2016, as a sophomore, Edwards registered 100 tackles (5.5 for loss), eight passes defensed, three interceptions and a half sack, garnering second-team All-SEC honors from AP and third-team honors from both Athlon and Phil Steele.
Notched 29 tackles (two for loss), two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one interception as a redshirt freshman (2015).
Redshirted in 2014.
PERSONAL/COMMUNITY:
Attended Winton Woods High School (Cincinnati), where he was named firstteam Division II All-Ohio.
Son of Terri and Mike Edwards Jr.
 In 2020, supported the American Cancer Society and RISE as part of the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats initiative.
In June 2019, rookies participated in Tampa's Police Department Citizen's Academy and visited MacDill's Air Force Base.
