The Tampa Bay Buccaneers draw the Monday Night Football spotlight in Week Nine for the second time in three weeks, this time in Kansas City. The Buccaneers will try to relieve the Chiefs of their status as the NFL's only remaining unbeaten team in 2024 and also stretch their winning streak at forbidding Arrowhead Stadium to three. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, November 4. To find out how to watch, listen and livestream the game, click here.
Most analysts are favoring the Chiefs at home, citing Kansas City's strong defense against an "undermanned" Buccaneers offense. While the Bucs are fourth in the NFL in scoring and were able to gain 423 yards without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin last week, one expert sees the visitors scoring one touchdown in the game due to the continued absence of those two. Another analyst does see hope for the Bucs given Baker Mayfield's strong play against the blitz and in the fourth quarter.
The Buccaneers are 8.5-point underdogs against the reigning champs and upset picks for Monday night are few and far between. Some experts do see the Bucs covering the spread, at least. Here's what some of them are saying:
NFL.com – All five experts side with Kansas City but the Bucs do beat the 8.5-spread in all five predictions
ESPN.com – The Bucs manage to draw one upset pick out of three analysts
CBSSports.com – Pete Prisco sees the Chiefs' undefeated season continuing
USA Today – It's a 6-0 sweep for the home team
Bleacher Report – No outright Buc picks among eight analysts, but half see the spread covered
Pro Football Talk – Mike Florio thinks Tampa Bay keeps it close but Chris Simms sees double-digit loss
Sports Illustrated – No takers on the upset by six experts
