(On OLB Shaquil Barrett's knee injury)
"Yeah, he's got a sprained MCL/ACL. It's not severe but he's probably out for the rest of the regular season. Hopefully we'll have him back for the playoffs."
(On if he thinks RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn's upside is as a third-down back)
"No, I think he's a lead back. He has great running skills, excellent jump-cut ability and he's worked on his hands. His hands are better. He dropped one yesterday – it pissed him off – but he has worked on his hands hard. I think he's a lead dog, yeah."
(On how the Buccaneers' wide receiver depth has changed during the season)
"It's a good room, man. I've marveled at the guys we've had on our practice squad for the last couple years. Jaydon Mickens is playing really well in Jacksonville now and Cyril [Grayson] is one of the hardest working guys we've had. Each and every guy on our practice squad I think has got a chance to be a player someday. The receiver room is good. Hopefully we get Breshad [Perriman] back this week. I'm not sure about Mike [Evans] yet – we'll wait and see on that one."
(On what happened on the play on which Sam Darnold completed a 63-yard pass)
"He broke contain and it was just a broken play. Sean Murphy-Bunting came up – he's got to plaster to that guy once the quarterback breaks contain. That's one of the only two plays they had the whole game, but it was more of a busted play. We've got to do a better job of plastering when the quarterback breaks contain."
(On missed opportunities in the red zone)
"Yeah, we dropped one. 'Gronk' (Rob Gronkowski) has got to catch that ball. The other one, they had good coverage on the one. There wasn't anything special, we just didn't convert. We didn't play very well in the red zone [and] inside the five."
(On if the Buccaneers had new COVID-19 issues Monday like the Panthers reportedly do)
"We have one coach that is positive – that's it so far."
(On if the Buccaneers will end up as a deeper team in the playoffs if they're injured players come back since other players are getting a chance to play in their absence)
"I don't think there's any doubt. The same thing with our secondary – all those guys have played. Pierre [Desir] started a couple games, played a bunch, and he was inactive this week. So, as we get guys back, we've built some great depth through the injuries. Hopefully we'll get Mike [Evans] back and 'BP' (Breshad Perriman) back and see how the receiver corps builds back up. Hopefully, knock on wood, we don't lose anybody else."
(On if it would take a deeper playoff run to get LB Lavonte David and RB Leonard Fournette back from Injured Reserve)
"Yeah, I think that's still up in the air. We'll see how they heal, you know? Fingers crossed that they'll be back but we're not going to rush it, either."
(On which coach tested positive for COVID-19)
"Kevin Garver."
(On if he knows whether any teams in search of a new head coach are going to talk to Offensive Coordinator Byron Leftwich or Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles this week)
"No, I don't know. None of the paperwork has been put in yet. They have to go through channels. And I welcome it if it is."
(On if TE O.J. Howard has struggled with not playing as much)
"Well, this was probably his best game. He blocked really, really well in this game. We kind of really held the edge pretty good to run the ball that well, especially going around the corners. But O.J. comes to work every single day, and his time is coming. There is going to be a time when he's the guy that catches it, yeah."
(On QB Tom Brady wearing a jersey on Sunday that did not have a captain's patch on it)
"I think they just switched his jersey. No big deal."
(On what gave him the confidence that he could trust WR Cyril Grayson in big moments)
"Just watching him practice every single day. Like I said, nobody works harder. He's putting on the other team's show. He does a hell of a job. I've got all the confidence in the world in him because I know he will block."
