Sean Tuckerwas a minor participant in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense during the first five weeks of the 2024 season. In Week Six, he was the best offensive player in the NFC.

On Wednesday, the NFL announced that Tucker, the Buccaneers' second-year running back, has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week Six. It was the first Player of the Week award for any Tampa Bay player in 2024, and it was the first such accolade for Tucker.

Tucker was a driving force in the Buccaneers' 51-27 win at New Orleans on Sunday, accounting for 192 yards from scrimmage and two total touchdowns. He led a 277-yard rushing attack with 136 yards on 14 carries, averaging 9.7 yards per tote. He recorded the highest rushing total of any NFL player in Week six and added 56 yards on three receptions. He was also the only player in the NFC to score on both a run and a catch, and the first Buccaneer to do so since Leonard Fournette in 2021.

Tucker originally joined the Buccaneers as a rookie free agent out of Syracuse in 2023, and his 192 yards from scrimmage against the Saints stand as the third most in a single game by an undrafted player in the last five years. Prior to Sunday's game, Tucker had recorded a career total of 53 yards from scrimmage.

Tucker is the first Buccaneer running back to win a Player of the Week award since Fournette in Week 12 of the 2021 campaign. He is also just the second undrafted player in Buccaneers history ever to win an Offensive Player of the Week award, joining running back Bobby Rainey in Week 11 of the 2013 season
