On Sunday, September 29, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Philadelphia Eagles in a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Raymond James Stadium. Sunday's contest will serve as the team's Crucial Catch game, supporting the NFL's league-wide campaign to fight cancer and highlight the importance of early detection.
This season, the Buccaneers are involving all of the Krewe, inviting fans, players and partners to share who they "Raise the Flags for," giving everyone the opportunity to spotlight and honor loved ones who have been affected both in-stadium and via a social media campaign. On Sunday, 30,000 fans will receive a custom mini-poster, courtesy of Jabil, to support the fight against cancer.
Throughout the afternoon, the team will honor numerous individuals impacted by cancer, highlighted by a halftime performance from singer-songwriter Bianca Muniz, a three-time cancer survivor, along with Elana Gilbert, a Tampa-based world-renowned singer and songwriter, currently in her fight against cancer. They will be joined on the field by family members, doctors, nurses and survivors, among others.
To continue a 13-year tradition, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation will make a $40,000 donation to cancer research and patient services, bringing its total contributions in that span to $550,000. These funds benefit the AdventHealth West Florida Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, and the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation.
Official Crucial Catch merchandise will be worn on the sideline Sunday and is available for purchase online and at the Buccaneers Team Store. The NFL donates 100% of its proceeds from Crucial Catch merchandise to the American Cancer Society to provide cancer screenings and resources to underserved communities.
