The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced the first German market partnership in team history with Discover Airlines, a Lufthansa-quality leisure airline based in Frankfurt, Germany. The multi-year partnership unites a leading NFL brand with a prominent German-based airline and is focused on strengthening the bonds between the Tampa Bay area, the Buccaneers and their growing German fan base.
"This is a momentous day for the Buccaneers as we celebrate our first international partnership with a German-based organization," said Buccaneers Owner Bryan Glazer. "Discover Airlines is an ideal partner that has been flying direct from Frankfurt to Tampa for three years and will play a large role in our continuing efforts to connect with our German fans. This partnership will also benefit our entire region by generating additional interest in Tampa Bay as a vacation destination for international visitors who travel in to experience our games."
The Buccaneers were awarded the rights to market in Germany in 2021 as part of the NFL's International Home Marketing Areas program and played against the Seattle Seahawks in the first NFL regular season game in Germany in 2022.
With three gateways located in Florida, including Tampa, the launch of this partnership ushers in opportunities for the Buccaneers to extend their reach to NFL fans and travel enthusiasts within the international market. The partnership with the Buccaneers marks the first multi-year agreement with a professional sports team for Discover Airlines.

With 20 weekly flights out of Tampa Bay, Orlando and Fort Myers to the German hubs of Frankfurt and Munich, we provide connections to hundreds of destinations around the world. Together with the Buccaneers, we are sure to excite new and long-time fans for travel on both sides of the Atlantic."
Partnership highlights include plans for promotional offerings designed to encourage travel from Frankfurt to Tampa to experience Buccaneers home games at Raymond James Stadium. Through the collaboration, a German influencer content series will be created to offer a unique and exclusive behind-the-scenes gameday experience. Additionally, fans flying from Germany to Tampa while wearing Buccaneers apparel will be eligible for in-flight surprises and treats courtesy of Discover Airlines.
