BUCCANEERS SIGN OL FRED JOHNSON

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed offensive lineman Fred Johnson.

Johnson (6-7, 326) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019 before being acquired off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2019 season. He spent most of the past three seasons with Cincinnati (2019-21), playing in 23 games, making eight starts, and seeing time at both guard and tackle.

A native of West Palm Beach, Florida, Johnson played collegiately at the University of Florida, where he appeared in 44 career games over four seasons (2015-18).
