The Buccaneers embark on a very unorthodox road trip this week, where they won't see the inside of Raymond James Stadium until November 10. Their first road opponent is the defending NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams in what promises to be a formidable challenge.
Their first practice of the week saw six players sidelined, most notably, wide receiver Chris Godwin, nose tackle Vita Vea and center Ryan Jensen. All three are new additions this week. Godwin is battling a hip injury, Vea has a groin injury and Jensen has a back issue. The good news is that Head Coach Bruce Arians classified every player as day-to-day.
Vea has been instrumental in the Bucs' stout run defense this season. The Rams have running back Todd Gurley, one of the most notorious ground players in the league. Godwin, and Jensen for that matter, are crucial to the team's offensive success – an offense that will need to be firing on all cylinders against an Aaron-Donald-led defense in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the Rams look to be healthy with just offensive lineman Austin Blythe and tight end Tyler Higbee participating on a limited basis in practice due to injury. Cornerback, and former Buccaneer, Aqib Talib did not practice but his absence was not injury related.
