The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today placed tight end Cameron Brate and wide receiver Justin Watson on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. In addition, the team signed tight end De'Quan Hampton.
Hampton (6-4, 225) most recently played in The Spring League, where he made the transition from wide receiver to tight end. He previously played for the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL, appearing in four games, making four receptions for 26 yards and one touchdown. In his NFL career, Hampton was signed as a college free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2017, participating in the team's training camp that season before being waived. Hampton played two seasons at Long Beach City College before transferring to the University of Southern California. The Carson, California, native will wear No. 6 for Tampa Bay.
