The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that the organization is launching the "Krewe Embassy," a permanent hub for Bucs fans in Munich, with the grand opening weekend scheduled for November 8-10.

The NFL granted the Buccaneers International Home Marketing Area rights for Germany in 2022. Later that year, the team defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the first-ever NFL regular season game played on German soil. The Buccaneers are returning to Munich, site of that historic contest, to establish an official fan embassy in the heart of the city. This location will serve as a home base for the Buccaneers' fan community, known as the Krewe, and remain a permanent destination for all fans of the two-time Super Bowl champions.

"Our German fans are an essential part of the Krewe, and we are incredibly proud to have such a vibrant fan base in in Germany," said Buccaneers Chief Marketing Officer James Ruth. "Giving them a permanent home in Munich with the Embassy is our thank you for their passion. We are thrilled to see the community continue to grow and look forward to expanding it even further in the years to come."

As with previous Buccaneers activations in Germany, the "Krewe Embassy" is centered around the passion of German Buccaneers fans. "Ned Kelly's," known as Munich's premier sports bar and located near Marienplatz, will serve as the embassy's venue and provide a gathering spot in Munich's city center for watch parties and other fan activities.

"We are very proud that the first permanent fan embassy of an NFL team in Germany has found a home with us," said Kevin Daly, Owner or Ned Kelly's. "American football is an essential part of what we offer, and we are excited to bring this passion to life together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers."

Alongside the opening celebration on that Friday, there will be an opportunity on Saturday, November 9, to meet Buccaneers legend Shaq Barrett, two-time Super Bowl champion, two-time Pro Bowler and the Buccaneers' single-season sack leader. Barrett will be part of "Legend Day," featuring autograph and photo sessions, as well as talks and interviews. Following his appearance at the Embassy, Shaq will join the Football Bromance podcast at Bromania 3 from SAP Garden. Fans can also enjoy an exhibition of team memorabilia, including a Super Bowl LV ring, a replica Super Bowl LV trophy, and jerseys from legendary players. The "Krewe Embassy" opening will also include exclusive merchandise giveaways, including limited-edition shirts and pins, available only on-site.

The event will feature a pub quiz hosted by Buccaneers German Airline Partner Discover Airlines, during which the Lufthansa subsidiary will raffle a trip to Tampa Bay as the grand prize. The NFL weekend in Munich will conclude on Sunday with a watch party, featuring both the Munich Game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. San Francisco 49ers game, broadcast live from the United States.
