Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2024 BUCCANEERS SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Tampa Bay Will Make Four Primetime Appearances in 2024

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2024 regular season schedule was released today by the National Football League. After winning the NFC South division title for the third consecutive year, the Buccaneers will again face five division winners from the 2023 season – the maximum number a team can play in the 17-game format – in addition to facing all four teams who played in the conference championship games a season ago. With Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield set to return in 2024, five of the last eight Heisman Trophy winners will play at Raymond James Stadium this upcoming season, including four matchups between Heisman-winning quarterbacks. Tampa Bay will also be featured in four primetime games this season.

The Buccaneers will kick off their season at Raymond James Stadium against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX. Tampa Bay will play host to reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels and new Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn for their first regular season game with Washington. Tampa Bay will be looking to establish a franchise record with its fourth consecutive win in a season opener.

The Buccaneers will take their first road trip in Week 2, returning to the site of last year's tightly contested Divisional Round game for a rematch with the Detroit Lions on Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. Mayfield and Lions quarterback Jared Goff will again face off in another battle of No. 1 overall picks. Tampa Bay has won seven of its last nine regular season road meetings in Detroit.

In Week 3, the Buccaneers will host the Denver Broncos for the first time since 2016 when they do so on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton will be making his first visit to Tampa with Denver. He has coached 15 games against the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay – the most by any opposing head coach in team history.

Tampa Bay will take part in an NFC Wild Card rematch from a season ago in Week 4 as the Philadelphia Eagles head to Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. The Buccaneers defeated the Eagles, 32-9, to advance to the Divisional Round in last year's playoffs. Including postseason meetings, Tampa Bay has won five of its last six matchups with Philadelphia.

The Buccaneers will play their first NFC South divisional games of the year when they travel to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5 and the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. The Buccaneers and Falcons will face off in the club's first primetime game of the season on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video, while the Buccaneers and Saints will clash on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

Tampa Bay will welcome in the team with the NFL's best record in 2023, the Baltimore Ravens, in Week 7 on Monday Night Football (ESPN). Lamar Jackson's visit to Tampa Bay on Oct. 21 at 8:15 p.m. ET will mark the first time the reigning NFL MVP has played at Raymond James Stadium since Aaron Rodgers in the 2022 season. This year's matchup will mark Baltimore's fifth trip all-time to Tampa Bay.

Atlanta will make its annual trip to Tampa Bay in Week 8, on Oct. 27, for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff on FOX. It will mark new Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins' second all-time game at Raymond James Stadium and his first since arriving in Atlanta.

For the second time in a three-week span, the Buccaneers will play on Monday Night Football in Week 9 when they take on their Super Bowl LV foes, the Kansas City Chiefs, at Arrowhead Stadium on Nov. 4 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN. Including the playoffs, Tampa Bay has won six of the last eight meetings in the series. The defending champion Chiefs have advanced to four of the last five Super Bowls, with their lone Super Bowl defeat coming following the 2020 season when they fell to the Buccaneers, 31-9.

In Week 10, the defending NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers, will travel to Tampa for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday, Nov. 10, on FOX. Following a Week 11 Bye, the Buccaneers will head to East Rutherford, New Jersey, to face the New York Giants in Week 12 on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

Tampa Bay's first meeting with the Carolina Panthers will take place in Week 13, as the Buccaneers head to Charlotte for a 4:05 p.m. ET showdown on FOX. The Buccaneers have won seven of their last eight matchups with the Panthers.

In Weeks 14-15, the Buccaneers will face a pair of AFC West opponents, hosting the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS, and later paying a visit to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Buccaneers will make an appearance on Sunday Night Football in Week 16 when they square off against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas, on Dec. 22 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC. Tampa Bay is looking to win its third consecutive regular season meeting against the Cowboys, which would match the longest win streak vs. Dallas in franchise history.

The 2024 regular season will conclude with back-to-back home games vs. NFC South rivals in Weeks 17 and 18. Former Buccaneers Offensive Coordinator Dave Canales will make his return to Tampa Bay for the first time as Panthers Head Coach on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS. The date and time of Tampa Bay's Week 18 matchup with the Saints will be announced at a later date.

The NFL will again utilize flexible scheduling in Weeks 5-18, with the added option to flex games for Monday Night Football in Weeks 12-17 and games for Thursday Night Football in Weeks 13-17.

All games will feature a radio broadcast on 98Rock (WXTB-97.9 FM), as well as stations throughout Florida that are part of the Buccaneers Radio Network. Fans can also listen to every Buccaneers Radio broadcast online on Buccaneers.com and the Buccaneers mobile app.

Tampa Bay's 2024 preseason schedule was also released on Wednesday, with the Buccaneers traveling to face the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars in Weeks 1 and 2. Kickoff in Cincinnati will be at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 10, with the Week 2 matchup in Jacksonville set for a 7:30 p.m. ET start time on Saturday, August 17. Tampa Bay will wrap up its preseason slate by hosting the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 on Friday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium.

Chris Myers will be handling play-by-play duties and will be joined in the booth by Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Rondé Barber. WFLA Sports Anchor Dan Lucas will serve as the sideline reporter. The games will also be broadcasted on 98Rock on the Buccaneers Radio Network.
