As a redshirt sophomore in 2019, started 12-of-13 games, registering 41 tackles (12.5 for loss), 8.0 sacks and one pass defensed, earning second-team All-Pac-12 honors. His 8.0 sacks tied for fifth in the Pac-12, while his 12.5 tackles for loss were fifth-most in the conference.
