Tony Hardie enters his 15th season with the Buccaneers and his first season as director of college scouting.
Hardie has been promoted in consecutive seasons, rising from national scout (2022-23) to assistant director of college scouting (2024) and now to director. As a national scout, Hardie had been responsible for scouting the Southeast region, in addition to overseeing the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
He played a key role in Tampa Bay's highly touted 2024 NFL Draft class, which produced four starters in center Graham Barton, PFWA All-Rookie running back Bucky Irving, wide receiver Jalen McMillan and defensive back Tykee Smith.
Hardie began with the Buccaneers working as the team's combine scout covering the Southeast region for National Football Scouting, before scouting the Mountain West, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States.
Prior to joining the Buccaneers, Hardie worked on the football staffs at Northwestern University (2010-11) and at the University of Chicago (2007-09).
Hardie served as the director of defensive quality control and defensive quality control/player personnel assistant with the Wildcats and was the cornerback coach and video coordinator on the Chicago staff.
Hardie graduated from Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business in finance in 2007. He, and his wife Allie, reside in Tampa.
