Andy Speyer enters his 11th season with the Buccaneers working as a national scout. In his role as national scout, Speyer is responsible for scouting college prospects west of the Mississippi River.
Speyer joined Tampa Bay after 12 seasons working with the Philadelphia Eagles' player personnel department, including 11 as a college scout, covering the Southwest, Midwest and Northeast regions at various points during that time. While with Philadelphia, Speyer was a member of an organization that won six division titles and one conference championship. Speyer got his start with the Eagles as a training camp intern in 2001 and worked as a pro personnel intern in 2002.
A native of Spring, Texas, Speyer played collegiately at Ricks College (Rexburg, Idaho), before serving a two-year LDS mission in Pocatello, Idaho. Speyer returned to Ricks for one semester before transferring to the University of Utah and earning his undergraduate degree in business management. He also earned an MBA and a master's degree in sports administration from Ohio University.
Speyer and his wife, Lynette, have two sons, Braden and Kahler, and a daughter, Hailey.
