She is football summit

We will host the She is Football Women's Summit on Friday, March 8 in the Stadium Club at Raymond James Stadium, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Designed to advance your career, attendees will be able to connect and learn with female business leaders from various industries in mentoring sessions. Exclusive, behind-the-scenes areas such as the player locker room, press box and more will serve as the locations for small group breakout sessions. To ensure an intimate experience focused on mentorship opportunities and audience-driven dialogue, spaces for the event are limited.

Attendees will preselect their areas of interest. Tracks include Business of Sports, Launching Your Career, Master Class in Leadership, and Reinvention & The Entrepreneurial Journey.

Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are headlining our inaugural She is Football Women's Summit. Andrews serves as the lead NFL sideline reporter for FOX Sports. She is also the founder of her own women's apparel line WEAR by Erin Andrews which has grown into one of the most successful women-owned NFL clothing brands since its inception. Thompson currently hosts FOX NFL Kickoff, the lead-in to FOX NFL Sunday, as well as Thursday Night Football on Prime Video and "NFL Films Presents" on FS1. Thompson is also the founder of her own interior design and lifestyle company, House & Home, a full-service interior design firm. For the first time outside of their home state of California, the duo will host a live edition of their podcast "Calm Down with Erin and Charissa" during the Summit.

Track Descriptions

All attendees will select one of the below tracks. The morning will begin with networking opportunities and an opening panel before groups branch off into small group sessions centered around their track selected. Everyone will come back together for the closing session headlined by Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson.

Business of Sports: Developed for women who are looking for their first or next job in sports. This track covers a wide range of career paths in the sports industry, from sports management and media to event planning and non-profit work and more.

Launching Your Career: Geared towards young professionals who are seeking advice and mentorship as they navigate the earlier years of their career. This track provides guidance on how to kickstart a successful career.

Master Class in Leadership: Aimed for women who desire authentic and strategic advice on exceling as a leader. This track focuses on developing key management skills, effective team leadership, and strategic decision-making.

Reinvention & The Entrepreneurial Journey: Tailored for women who are entering a new chapter of their career. This track offers insights into entrepreneurship, business planning, and navigating career transitions.

Amanda Stevens, CEO of Raymond James Bank, joined the institution in 2018 as the Chief Operations and Strategy Officer. With over 25 years in financial services, she was previously the CFO of USAmeriBancorp, Inc., and held an executive position at Crowe in the financial services group.

Active in the community, Amanda serves on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association Tampa Bay, serving as Chair of the Tampa Bay Go Red for Women luncheon in 2022. She also sits on the board of the Florida Bankers Association and was Vice President on the board of The Helen Gordon Davis Centre for Women in Tampa.

DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING AND BRAND STRATEGY, IHEARTMEDIA WFUS - US103.5

Ashley Morrison is the Director of Programming and Brand Strategy for iHeart Media's WFUS - US103.5 Tampa Bay's #1 for New Country and an on-air personality in the Tampa market. Over her 16-year radio career, Morrison has earned numerous Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association nominations for personality and station of the year with her roles as a morning show host and programmer. She started in radio in 2009 as a promotions intern, then morning show producer, followed by Music Director/Assistant Program Director, morning show host, to now a midday host on Tampa Bay's Mix 100.7 and Program Director for US103.5. As the director of programming, she oversees all programming, promotions and sales-involved elements for WFUS which involves covering all major country music events in the Tampa Bay area.

Morrison is a current member of the Country Radio Seminar's agenda committee, as well as the Country Radio Broadcasters' Board for 2024-2025. Morrison was most recently recognized as one of Country Aircheck's "Power 31 – The Remix" – a list acknowledging 31 country music industry professionals to watch for, as well as acknowledged as one of Barrett Media's Top 20 Country Radio Program Directors of 2024. In February 2025, Morrison was named to Radio Ink's list of Best 25 Program Directors in Country Radio.

Cassie McBride is a prominent sports executive and legal professional, currently serving as the Chief Legal Counsel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Cassie has an impressive career trajectory. She previously worked as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the San Jose Sharks and the Jacksonville Jaguars, where she became one of the youngest attorneys to hold such a position in professional football.

She is a passionate advocate for women in law and sports, mentoring many up-and-coming professionals in these fields.

Charlene is committed to transforming the health care of Floridians, with the goal of improving the overall health and wellbeing of those statewide.

Chaunte Peterson, Director of Financial Reporting at Jabil, holds nearly two decades of experience in the financial reporting space having joined Jabil in March of 2006. In her 19 years with the company, she has risen up the ranks from a Senior Accountant to a director role, focusing on asset backed securitization programs, acquisition integration, report automation through financial systems, special projects and more.

A Tampa native, Peterson is a graduate of the University of South Florida and has repeatedly jumped at the opportunity to give back to her community, having participated in the Buccaneers' and Jabil's annual joint service project, "Day of Service".

Christina Theofilos is the chef-owner of Psomi, a popular Greek-inspired restaurant in Tampa, Florida. Born and raised in Tampa, Christina is a second-generation Greek American with a deep passion for great service and exceptional food.

In 2023, Christina was honored with the MICHELIN Guide Florida Young Chef Award, recognizing her contributions to Tampa's culinary scene. She continues to innovate and share her love for Greek cuisine through Psomi, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels like family.

Claire Lessinger is the Vice President of Events for the Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC). She joined the TBSC team in 2012 and has been instrumental in driving economic and social impact by identifying, bidding on, and hosting major sporting and entertainment events in Tampa Bay.

Claire's leadership has been pivotal in hosting numerous high-profile events, including the NCAA Women's Final Four, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and the NHL All-Star Weekend. She also served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee.

Her commitment to empowering women in sports is evident through her founding and leadership of WISE (Women in Sports and Events) Tampa Bay.

Danette Leighton is the CEO of the Women's Sports Foundation (WSF), an organization founded in 1974 by Billie Jean King to expand sports opportunities for women and girls. Leighton, who joined WSF in 2022, advocates for Title IX and has helped invest over $100 million to improve access to sports. Before WSF, Leighton served as the Chief Marketing Officer of the Pac-12 Conference, where she led major championships, created a Conference-wide Fan Data program, and rebranded the organization. She also held leadership roles with the NBA Sacramento Kings, WNBA Monarchs, Sony and Stanford University. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Leighton is passionate about empowering women in and through sports and credits her own youth sports experience for playing an integral role in her leadership development and helped to shape her career.

Deborah Pond currently serves as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel for Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida). Coke Florida manufactures, markets, sells, warehouses, distributes, and merchandises products of The Coca-Cola Company and other partner companies. The company is the 6th largest Coca-Coca bottler in the U.S., distributing over 119M cases of beverage products annually across an exclusive 47-county Florida market. With over 30 years of legal experience, she leads the legal team for Coke Florida.

Pond first joined the Coca-Cola System in 1996 as an in-house attorney with The Coca-Cola Company. During her time with The Coca-Cola Company, she supported a wide range of the business. Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Pond was a litigation associate with Troutman Sanders in Atlanta. She received her JD from Emory University after earning her Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.

Dr. Kanika Tomalin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg. In this role, she leads and integrates all aspects of the Foundation's activities and initiatives, focusing on strategic planning, grantmaking, and the Center for Health Equity.

Before joining the Foundation, Dr. Tomalin was the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Strategy at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. She also spent eight years as Deputy Mayor and City Administrator of St. Petersburg. Dr. Tomalin has extensive experience in healthcare and journalism.

Kathleen Francis is the national board chair and president of Women in Sports and Events (WISE), a role she has held since 2011. Under her leadership, WISE has expanded its membership, increased league partnerships, and launched several educational and professional development programs, including the WISE Executive Leadership Institute and the Emerging Leaders Certificate Program.

Before joining WISE, Kathleen lead marketing and market development for Major League Baseball and served as the managing director of at the United States Tennis Association. She currently serves on the USTA Board of Directors. Throughout her career she has been is dedicated to empowering women in the sports industry by providing them with the tools and resources needed to excel in their careers.

Laura and her husband purchased Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine a few years ago and have since redesigned the magazine and its website to share more local stories and fun events with families in the Tampa Bay area. Her work combines her two passions: motherhood and journalism.

Dahlberg's career also includes positions as Dean at Syracuse University's College of Engineering and Computer Science, Chief Academic Officer and Dean of the Albert Nerken School of Engineering at Cooper Union and Associate Dean at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Tuba Kuklen is the Vice President of Global Talent at Jabil, where she steers the company's global talent management, talent acquisition, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. Tuba gained experience in fields like process engineering and continuous improvement in the publishing and financial services market before joining Jabil's human resources team in 2016. She has since held several pivotal roles at Jabil, including regional senior HR director and head of global HR operations and shared services.

In her current role, Tuba is tasked with developing global policies, processes, and best practices that respond effectively to Jabil's talent needs and support the company's long-term objective, leading the network of talent practitioners at Jabil sites around the world who execute those strategies. No, only one ticket is necessary for the entirety of the day. The morning will begin with networking opportunities and an opening panel before groups branch off into small group sessions centered around their selected track. Everyone will come back together for the closing session headlined by Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson.

I purchased a group package; how do I designate which track each person will join?

We will reach out to you in 1-2 business days to gather the names of each person and the track that they will be participating in.

Will there be networking opportunities at the summit?

Yes! The summit was designed to create deeper connections, both amongst the attendees and our mentors. Each attendee will be assigned a small group within the track they selected. These small groups will spend most of the day together, building community and creating connections. The small groups will also have unique access to our lineup of female leaders who will serve as mentors.

As someone not in the sports industry, does the summit make sense for me?

Yes! The summit will feature mentors across a variety of industries, not just sports. Tracks are available on more general topics such as launching your career, leadership and management, as well as career reinvention.

I’m interested in attending multiple tracks. How does that work?

Every attendee will have a chance to experience one track, so select the one that fits you best. If you have a close second, we hope you'll come back and select that track next year!

What will the mentors cover in their sessions?

The summit was created for audience-driven dialogue, so all attendees will have an active role in what is discussed and shared by our mentors. Once you register, we will reach out to gather what topics you want to hear discussed in your session. You will also have the opportunity to submit any specific questions you may have ahead of time!

Will the event have content for more senior level women looking for a move and possible transition?

Absolutely! There are several tracks to choose from including Reinvention & the Entrepreneurial Journey, which focuses on women that are interested in changing careers or making a big professional leap. Other possible tracks include Master Class in Leadership, Launching Your Career and the Business of Sports.
