The NFL has definitely taken notice of Mike Williams.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' rookie wide receiver has played two regular-season games, and already garnered just as many NFL Rookie of the Week nominations. Once again, fans around the country will vote at NFL.com on which of the five nominated rookies will take home the award in Week Two.

Following the Buccaneers' Week One win over the Cleveland Browns, Williams was nominated for his five-catch NFL debut, which included a dazzling tipped-ball touchdown catch. In Week Two, Williams once again scored a key touchdown for the Buccaneers in impressive fashion, this time escaping a gang of Carolina tacklers after a short catch to reach the end zone.
Williams' 35-yard catch-and-run touchdown was part of a two-reception, 54-yard day that helped the Buccaneers win on the road over their division rivals, 20-7. He also showed remarkable concentration on a sliding 19-yard catch in the fourth quarter that sustained a clock-killing drive as the Bucs' preserved their lead.
Williams' high-profile start recalls that of his teammate, running back Cadillac Williams, five years ago. In 2005, Cadillac Williams was not only nominated for the NFL's Rookie of the Week Award each of the first three weeks of the season, he also won it each time. Mike Williams is the first Buccaneer rookie since his surname namesake to score a touchdown in each of his first two games.
Williams will again be competing for the award with Detroit running back Jahvid Best, who was also nominated in Week One. The other three Week Two nominees are all wide receivers: Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown, Dallas' Dez Bryant and Denver's Demaryius Thomas.
Fan voting for Rookie of the Week will continue through noon ET on Friday, with the winner announced Friday evening. NFL.com users visiting the Rookie of the Week page can also watch video of each player's performance in Week Two.
