On Monday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Walgreen Co. ("Walgreens").
As a team sponsor, Walgreens will benefit from the Buccaneers' all-inclusive marketing packages. Walgreens' primary focus for the partnership will be strong marketing and community activation to the Buccaneers' vast fan base, including its "Wellness" initiatives. Walgreens plans strong store-level programs that will translate into exciting opportunities and great value for their customers.
"Having a renowned brand like Walgreens join our Sponsorship family is tremendous," said Bryan Glazer, Buccaneers Co-Chairman. "The Buccaneers take great pride in aligning ourselves with top brands. Not only is Walgreens an industry leader, but more importantly they are leaders in communities and neighborhoods across the country. It is a thrill to have them on board and we look forward to activating their programs with our fans."
"Joining forces with a great organization like the Buccaneers is a positive move for us locally," said Walgreens Market Vice President Scott Corley. "With our reach into the communities we serve and the Buccaneers' dedication to health and wellness in the Tampa Bay neighborhoods they touch, this new partnership will be a huge success for not only our two organizations but for the people of Tampa Bay. We look forward to helping the people of Tampa get well, stay well and live well."
