A Season Pass Member for over 30 years, Keith Kunzig, better known to Bucs fans as 'Big Nasty' is one of six finalists with the potential to join the 2020 Class of the Ford Hall of Fans. You can vote for him here, while also entering to win a trip to Super Bowl LIV and a new Ford F-150 yourself.
You've likely seen Kunzig in full-face paint and a larger than life getup, including a Super Bowl trophy belt, walking around Raymond James Stadium or in the tailgate lots at any given Bucs home game. He not only puts on the persona in support of the Buccaneers, but also uses his notoriety for good around the community. He created the national "Drugs Are Nasty" program and hosts a "Nasty for a Day" tailgate experience at each home game as a means of raising money in the fight against drug abuse.
He also brings his brand of enthusiasm to junior Bucs fans with life-threatening illnesses during his regular visits to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Just in time for the holiday season, Kunzig and his family host their annual "Big Nasty Christmas Party" that provides clothes, toys and food for local families in need.
"I can't explain the joy I get from being able to use the 'Big Nasty' persona as a platform to do good in our community," said Kunzig.
'Big Nasty' was nominated for the Ford Hall of Fame by legendary Buccaneer linebacker and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Derrick Brooks, who showed up at Kunzig's house to tell him of the news personally. Each fan was informed of their nomination by a Hall of Famer, in fact. Fans were evaluated based on their support of the team, demonstrating commitment, courage, respect and excellence in their fandom and positive contributions to their communities.
Nominees need support from their team's fans, which is where you come in. Help Kunzig 'get his second knock' by voting for him by January 27. The winners will be inducted into the Ford Hall of Fans at the Po Football Hall of Fame during the 2020 Enshrinement Weekend in Canton, Ohio.
