On Monday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released rookie defensive lineman Terry Beckner from their practice squad, following the conclusion of Beckner's four-game NFL suspension.

A seventh-round draft pick out of Missouri this past spring, Beckner started the regular season on the practice squad and remained on that unit for six games before he was suspended for four games on October 21 for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. The Buccaneers placed him on the reserve/suspended list and he did not count against the squad's 10-man limit during his suspension. However, Beckner was eligible to return on Monday so the Buccaneers had to make a move with him or one of the other 10 players currently on the practice squad.

Beckner played in all four preseason games for Tampa Bay with one start, recording three tackles and one pass defensed.
