The Tampa Bay Buccaneers improved to 2-0 with a hard-fought 20-16 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday, and now they will try to stay perfect against their first interconference opponent of the year.

The Buccaneers will take on the 0-2 Denver Broncos in their Raymond James Stadium home on Sunday, September 22, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET. Tampa Bay has started 2-0 for the fourth consecutive season but will be looking for its first 3-0 season since 2005.

The Bucs followed a dominant 37-20 win over Washington in Week One with a hard-fought victory in Detroit that included three defensive stops in Buccaneers territory in the last half of the fourth quarter. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has thrown for 474 yards and five touchdowns with just one interception over the first two weeks of the season, and he also scored the game-winning points in Detroit on a rugged 11-yard run. Wide receiver Chris Godwin, having moved back into a primary slot role in 2024, has racked up 15 catches for 200 yards and two touchdowns over the first two weeks.

The Broncos, who are starting first-round quarterback Bo Nix, the 12th-overall pick in the 2024 draft, will be seeking their first win of the season after losing 26-20 at Seattle in Week One and 13-6 at home against the Steelers on Sunday. Nix has thrown four interceptions and zero touchdowns over the first two weeks and has a passer rating of 51.0.

Sunday's game is the first of five the Buccaneers will play against AFC opponents in 2024. The Buccaneers and Broncos have met 10 times in the past, with Denver holding a 7-3 series edge
