HEAD COACH TODD BOWLES
(On what he has seen from Steelers rookie QB Kenny Pickett)
"He's accurate, he's extremely smart, he can get out of the pocket on the run, he can throw on the run, he can throw in the pocket, he knows where his checkdowns are and we think he's doing a good job getting the ball out of his hands."
(On the status of the team's injured defensive backs)
"Logan Ryan and Sean Murphy-Bunting will be out. Mike [Edwards] will be a game-day decision."
(On if DL Akiem Hicks is the only other player already ruled out for Sunday's game)
"Right now, yes."
(On getting significant snaps from OLBs Anthony Nelson and Carl Nassib)
"Oh, it's big to have four of them to rotate in there, so if somebody goes down you have guys that [have] played in games and [are] capable of starting. So, [they] sub each other pretty [well]. We don't have a set time to put Carl and Nelson in there but we're comfortable when we put them in there regardless of situation."
(On what makes a team good in road games)
"I can't pinpoint it, but you get to jell because you're the only ones out there. There's nothing else there – you get to stay in a hotel and on the plane and it's like a you-against-the-world mentality. We've been lucky enough to have two [wins] in a row on the road, so we're going to try to continue that."
(On what makes Steelers DL Cameron Heyward so difficult to play against)
"Obviously, other than his talent, his thirst for the game. That's why he's played so long. He's a very smart player, he's a very tough player, he's a very proud player. You don't see too many of those guys with that consistency and that production that he's done over the years. He's a leader, he's a captain, he's well-looked upon by teammates and foes that come in there to play him. He's a heck of a ballplayer."
(On depth in the secondary)
"Well, it's big for the young guys to step up. They've trained all year. We keep people on this team for a reason and at some point, everyone's going to have to contribute when it's their turn."
(On his comfort level with rookie CB Zyon McCollum)
"[I'm] very comfortable with Zyon."
(On if it will be nice to play an outdoor game in cooler weather)
"I'm from New Jersey but I'm a warm-weather guy."
