TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS QUOTE SHEET 10-11-24

HEAD COACH TODD BOWLES

(On the progress of injured players who have been out for a while)

"[Calijah] Kancey was full, so he'll play. [Antoine] Winfield was limited. He did a lot of things and it'll probably be a game-time decision, but he's very close if he doesn't play, but hopefully he can. [Luke] Goedeke passed his tests so he's trending forward that way. [Graham] Barton will be out."

(On having C Robert Hainsey as a backup center)

"I mean it's a great luxury. Hainsey is very smart, he's very tough, the guys are very comfortable with him down the line, so we have chemistry down there with him as well so it's a big luxury having him."

(On if any other players are ruled out for Sunday)

"[Christian] Izien will be out, Kam Johnson will be out, and Trey Palmer will be out."

(On if S Jordan Whitehead will play)

"He had two good days [of practice], so I feel good about where he is right now."

(On if it's concerning that the injury list grew even with days off)

"Just coming off a physical game Thursday and that past Sunday, there's nothing else to point to. We have guys banged up. Everybody is dealing with it all over the league. Get them healthy as soon as possible."

(On if WR Ryan Miller will be elevated)

"He'll be one of the guys. Between Ryan Miller and maybe [Tanner] Knue because he returns punts. We'll make that decision later on."

(On if leaving for New Orleans early in the week helped them keep a routine)

"It helped us stay normal because Tuesday is normally players day off and coaches game plan. Coaches probably had to do more Monday night and Tuesday evening but for players, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – Friday practice and meetings were exactly the same, so we kept that as normal as possible. That helped, going up on Tuesday."

(On if having S Antione Winfield Jr. back will allow more dime defenses)

"It's always an option. A lot of it has to do with the game plan and who we're playing and what we're up against, so it'll show itself. I'm not exactly sure when – [it] could be Sunday, but it could be later on as well."

(On if T Luke Goedeke will play)

"He's trending that way. He had a good week of practice. Barring any setbacks, he should be scheduled to play."

(On how T Luke Goedeke's conditioning looks)

"It looks good. Obviously, you can't tell until the game because you can only do so much at practice but he looks fresh, he looks healthy, so he's ready to go."

(On if he's contacted or considered the possibility of signing LB Devin White)

"I have not been in contact with him, especially this week. My hands [have] been kind of full. We consider everybody, we see what we come up with and how many injuries come along. Me and Jason [Licht] will talk every day, and you know, if there's something that comes up, we'll take a look at it. Obviously, he's played here before, he has a lot of history but we've kind of had our hands full this week to worry about anything else on the outside."

(On DL Logan Hall's improvement)

"We're confident in him and he's taken steps every year, even if it hasn't shown up in the sack category. He's gotten very good in the run game last year, using his hands – now he's translating that to pass rush things that he can do better and he's applying them and he's getting them down pretty good. You can see it showing in his pass rush."

(On WR Jalen McMillan's and RB Rachaad White's status)

"McMillan will be up, Rachaad will be a game-time decision."

(On T Justin Skule's performance filling in at right tackle the past few weeks)

"He did an admirable job. I think he struggled a little bit against Detroit, against a good player, and he settled down after that. We kind of changed some things up down there to help him. He settled in and he did an admirable job for us."

(On if DL Earnest Brown IV will play)

"He's going to need a little more time."

(On if he will use LB J.J. Russell in a platoon situation with LB K.J. Britt)

"He's an option depending on the package. K.J. will be in a bunch of packages and we have other packages that are DB and [line]backer oriented so depending on how the game goes and how we want to deploy it, everybody will have their chance to be ready. We just have to make sure when they get in there that they're ready to go."

(On how LB Antonio Grier Jr. has looked these past few weeks)

"He's one of those guys that have been locked in mentally. We've been traveling him anyway. He's locked in mentally, he's a good [special] teams player for us right now and if we have to use him we feel comfortable [that] he can go in and make the calls and get the job done."

(On WR Rakim Jarett's injury status)

"I've seen him running pretty good out there the past couple weeks. He's coming along pretty well. I have to check with the trainers and see how close he is but he's moving a lot better."
