Some girls dream of performing on the big stage when they grow up, in front of a packed stadium as an NFL cheerleader.

Why wait that long?

This August, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders will host their 15th annual Junior Cheer/Dance Clinic and game day performance. The clinic is for girls ages 6-17 and provides girls with a fun, motivational experience and a chance to perform alongside Buccaneers Cheerleaders at halftime of the August 17 game against the Tennessee Titans at Raymond James Stadium.

"The Junior Cheerleading program is a unique opportunity for the Tampa Bay Buccaneer Cheerleaders to make a positive impact on young ladies in the Bay area," said Catherine Boyd, the team's cheerleading manager. "Throughout the clinics and game day experience, junior cheerleaders learn firsthand what it takes to become a Bucs Cheerleader. The requirements go beyond the field, and our cheerleaders emphasize to the participants that education, living a healthy lifestyle and community involvement are just as important."

Participants will also receive an official Tampa Bay Buccaneers Junior Cheerleader uniform and pom-poms, a ticket for the participant and an additional family member to the August 17 game, a complimentary parking pass, 15 Bucs Dollars to spend at Raymond James Stadium and an autographed team poster of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders.

For all parents and girls that are interested in this special opportunity there are still a few weeks left to sign up. Registration will be available at Buccaneers.com through Friday, July 20.

The two-day clinic will be held Saturday August 11 and Sunday August 12 at Raymond James Stadium. For more information, call 813.870.2700 x2430 or click here.
