The Bucs were eliminated from the playoff race on Sunday after the Seahawks defeated the Browns in Seattle. Tampa Bay needed help from both Seattle and Minnesota during the final three weeks of the season to earn a trip to the postseason.
With two games remaining on the schedule, the Buccaneers have an opportunity to finish the season with a 8-8 record, which would mark the most wins by the Bucs in a single season since 2010. The Bucs have already won as many games this season as they did in the previous two; Tampa Bay finished 2-14 in 2014 and put together a 4-12 season the year before.
The Bucs will take on Chicago at home before traveling to Carolina for the regular season finale, setting up a showdown with the potentially undefeated Panthers. Carolina topped New York on Sunday to advance to 14-0.
