On Monday, June 12, at 10:00 a.m., the 2017 Buccaneers Rookie Club, including O.J. Howard, Justin Evans, Chris Godwin, and the complete rookie class will join some of the newest firefighters from Tampa Fire Rescue for indoor go-karting at Tampa Bay Grand Prix. The majority of the firefighters are in their first-year probationary period and will be paired with more than 20 Buccaneers rookies for some fun and friendly competition.

Throughout the year, the Buccaneers rookies will participate in a variety of outreach activities as members of the Buccaneers Rookie Club, the team's longstanding effort to engage its youngest players with the local community. This is the third consecutive year that the Buccaneers have collaborated with Tampa Fire Rescue to connect each organization's newest members in a fun, engaging environment. Last week, the Buccaneers rookies visited military members at MacDill Air Force Base, and the team will continue to participate in a wide variety of community outreach activities throughout the fall.
