The countdown to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2013 training camp is now under 15 days. Buccaneer fans, however, won't even have to wait that long to begin their own preparations for the upcoming season.
The Buccaneers announced on Tuesday that they will begin selling individual-game tickets for all 2013 home dates on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. ET. While tickets to the regular-season home-opener against the New Orleans Saints have been available for purchase since June (and still are), fans can now make plans to attend any of the 10 preseason and regular-season games to be played at Raymond James Stadium this year.
Individual-game tickets begin as low as $30 each. Visit the ticket section here on Buccaneers.com for more information. Buccaneers Pewter Partners and sponsors, as well as Season Pass Members, will be offered a special presale opportunity, beginning at 10 a.m. ET on Monday, July 15.
"We look forward to welcoming our loyal fans back to Raymond James Stadium for what promises to be one of the most exciting home game lineups in recent memory," said Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford. "This year's home schedule offers something for everyone, including games against both of last season's Super Bowl participants and a pair of nationally-televised contests that will shine the primetime spotlight on our players and community."
This Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens kick off the preseason slate on Thursday, August 8. Their foe in Super Bowl XLVII last February, the San Francisco 49ers, come to Tampa during the regular season for the Buccaneers home finale on Sunday, December 15. Tampa Bay's prime-time home games include a Thursday-nighter against Carolina on October 24 and a return to Monday Night Football against Miami on November 11.
The Bucs' exciting 2013 home slate also includes intra-division games against the Saints on September 15 and the Atlanta Falcons on November 17th, as well as visits from the Arizona Cardinals (September 29), the Philadelphia Eagles (October 13) and the Buffalo Bills (December 8).
As always, each game on the schedule will also have a special theme to enhance the overall experience for those fans in attendance. This year's list of game themes is highlighted by the annual Throwback Game, this time coinciding with the September 29 visit from the Cardinals, and the newest Ring of Honor induction during the Monday night matchup with Miami on November 11. The Buccaneers will make new Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp the fifth inductee into the Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony that evening.
Other popular game themes that are returning in 2013 include Breast Cancer Awareness, complete with pink accessories on the players' uniforms, and Salute to Service, with activities aimed at thanking those who serve in the U.S. military. The Breast Cancer Awareness efforts will include a new Buccaneers tradition in 2013: a breast cancer awareness 5k run/walk held in the shadows of Raymond James Stadium on the morning of the game. Additional details for this special event will follow in the coming weeks. The home finale against San Francisco will also feature a postgame concert as part of the team's second annual Faith and Football festivities.
