You can test drive a car before you buy it. You can sample the ice cream before picking a flavor. You can try on a wedding dress before walking down the aisle; surely you wouldn't do it any other way.
And now, if you're a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, you can sit in your seat before you become a season ticketholder. That's the beauty of the Pick A Seat event coming to Raymond James Stadium on May 16 and 17.
The Buccaneers' game day has 65,000 seats, and not a bad one in the house. But there are varying price levels, amenities, sight lines and atmospheres offered by those seats…different options for different fans. At the moment, there are seats available at Raymond James Stadium in a variety of sections and price options, and fans who wish to purchase season tickets for the 2009 season can try them out before they buy.
On the weekend of May 16-17, the gates to the stadium will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, allowing fans a chance to find the exact seats they want. Available seats will be marked with tags; fans can simply survey what is available, select their favorite locations and take the tags to one of approximately 60 Buccaneers staff members who will be on hand to process orders.
Existing season ticketholders may also attend the Pick A Seat event to explore the possibility of an upgrade. Whether you are a new or returning ticketholder, you will find plenty of seating options, including lower-level locations.
Fans attending the Pick A Seat Event will find parking right next to the stadium in Lots B and C, on the Himes Avenue side. You will be able to enter through Gate C, on the southeast corner of the stadium. From there, it's just a matter of surveying the options and finding the seat that is perfect for you.
Fans considering a season ticket purchase will find several additional options providing a brand new level of flexibility. For instance, there are upper level seats available that do not require a deposit. Tickets may be purchased with no long-term contracts and the Buccaneers will provide several easy payment options. There is even youth ticket pricing available for the first time.
And best of all, you can try your seat on before you make your decision. You can get a taste for what it will be like to cheer the Bucs on from that spot. You can kick the tires and take it for a drive around the block.
Come to Pick A Seat this Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, and find the best Buccaneer spot for you.
