CBS Sports put together a list of the best players selected at each of the 256 draft spots in NFL history – a list that includes nine Buccaneers. The idea wasn't to find the best 256 players ever drafted, rather the best player taken at each specific pick, hence why New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is listed at No. 199.
Between 1995 and 1998, the Bucs drafted five players who CBS believes to be the best all-time draft picks at their respective draft spots – defensive tackle Warren Sapp (12), linebacker Derrick Brooks (28), fullback Mike Alstott (35), cornerback Ronde Barber (66) and cornerback Al Harris (169). Sapp and Brooks have since been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Other players to make the list include safety Mike Pryor, offensive tackle Harry Swayne, defensive end Rueben Davis and linebacker Elijah Alexander. Below is a look at the full list, with the years those players were drafted. For a look at CBS' top selections at picks No. 1 through 100 and No. 101 through 200, check out the galleries below.
