Mike Evans Makes PFF's All-Pro Team

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans was a first-team All-Pro selection by Pro Football Focus.

A look back at Mike Evans' 12 touchdowns during the 2016 season.

After finishing the season as Pro Football Focus' top-rated wide receiver, it should come as no surprise that Mike Evans has been selected for the website's All-Pro team. Evans was one of two wide receivers picked, along with Atlanta's Julio Jones.

"As Jameis Winston's go-to weapon, Buccaneers WR Mike Evans ended the season with seven more targets than any other receiver and really emerged as an elite force, making some spectacular catches and plays throughout the season," PFF's Sam Monson wrote. "Other receivers may have put up better numbers, but none could match the highlight-reel plays Evans managed over the year."

As far as the numbers are concerned, Evans' 2016 was one of the best by a Buccaneer in team history. He tied the team record for touchdown receptions in a single season, one that he already owned, while finishing with the second-most receptions (96) and third-most receiving yards (1,321) by a Tampa Bay player in one year.

For his efforts, Evans was selected to his first Pro Bowl. He could still make the Associated Press' All-Pro team, which will be revealed on January 6th.

Evans wasn't the only Buccaneer to appear on PFF's list. Brent Grimes was an honorable mention selection at cornerback, although his overall grade was better than all of their second-team picks and tied with one of their first-team picks.
