Following a dominant performance against the Eagles in Week 11, Doug Martin has been selected as the NFL's Ground Player of the Week.
Martin picked up 235 yards on 27 carries last Sunday, an average of 8.7 yards per rushing attempt. His total rushing yards were the second-most ever by a Buccaneer in a single game, falling 16 yards shy of the franchise record he set back in 2012.
Behind Martin, the Buccaneers' offense picked up 283 rushing yards, the most in a single game in team history.
Through 10 games, Martin has 941 rushing yards, the second-most in the league. He trails Minnesota's Adrian Peterson, the NFL's leader, by 65 yards.
Martin is on pace for more than 1,500 yards this season, which would be a career-high. He ran for 1,454 yards his rookie season, earning a trip to the Pro Bowl in the process.
