Last April, Mark Dominik shook things up early in the first round of the NFL Draft when he struck a deal with Jacksonville to move down two spots, from #5 to #7.  That trade by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' general manager was the first of a series of maneuvers that eventually landed his team safety Mark Barron, running back Doug Martin and linebacker Lavonte David.

That first trade shook up the 2012 "Twenty Questions" Draft Contest on Buccaneers.com, too.  To say the selection of Barron came as a surprise would be an understatement; not one of the 1,672 contest entries correctly made that prediction.

However, that didn't stop Danny Barich, Ron Gaschler and Troy Nicholson from correctly predicting the answers to half of the contest's 20 questions, a rather impressive feat that only those three accomplished.  Given that this trio of amateur draftniks walked away with a collection of valuable prizes, including a handful of regular-season club seat game tickets, there's a good chance that Barich, Gaschler and Nicholson will be back to defend their prize-winning titles.  They'll have plenty of competition, however.

Our extremely popular Twenty Questions contest is back for a ninth consecutive year, and this is your chance to prove you know as much about the draft as any of last year's winners.  Or maybe you're just feeling lucky, because the Twenty Questions contest is quick and easy to enter, no matter how deep your draft knowledge.

And the prizes are as enticing as ever!  Once again, the Grand Prize winner of the Twenty Questions contest will receive four Club Seat tickets to the 2013 Buccaneers regular-season home game of his or her choice, while the First Runner-Up will get two Club Seat tickets.  Club Seats feature the best views in the stadium, large cushioned chairs and access to the climate-controlled Stadium Club and all its amenities.  The Second Runner-Up prize is an official Buccaneers shirt and hat.

Predicting the NFL Draft has always been and will always be an inexact science, as even the most well-known experts demonstrate each spring.  On the other hand, there is more information – and there are many more opinions – about the draft made available every year.  NFL fans devour it all, to the point that the NFL's big offseason event is as popular as any sport actually in season at the time.  You can put all that information to good use, predicting such outcomes as which player the Buccaneers will draft with their first overall pick; which team will be the second one to select a quarterback; and how many cornerbacks will come off the board in the first round.

Chances are, you already have an opinion as to who the Buccaneers will (or should) draft in the first round, and maybe even what they will do in the second and third rounds.  You might have scrolled through enough mock drafts to have an opinion on what the Falcons, Panthers and Saints are going to do, as well.  Now is the time to put your predictions in writing.

Other than a little draft insight (or just enough luck) all you need to enter the Twenty Questions Draft Contest is a couple minutes of your time.  If you've entered the contest in any of the eight previous springs, you know how the game works.  It's a simple-to-play but hard-to-master contest in which we ask you to prove your draft acumen by predicting the answers to 20 questions related to the Great Seven Rounds.  Each question is paired with a pull-down list of possible answers.  Once you've selected an answer to each question, you submit your response and wait for the draft to prove you right or wrong.  Each prediction that proves accurate is worth a point, and the highest overall point total wins.   There is a tiebreaker question that requires a numerical entry, in case more than one entrant tie for the top score. Part of the contest, as always, is predicting the Buccaneers' first pick, which would seem to be a slightly more complicated task than last year, as Tampa Bay is slotted at #13 this time around.  We're also wondering which team will pull off the most dramatic trade upward, which receiver will hear his name called first on Day Two of the draft, and the order in which a certain group of four players will be selected.

Don't wait too long to enter, as there are fewer than three weeks to get your predictions in.  The deadline to submit an entry is just before midnight on Tuesday, April 23, two days before the draft begins.

You could soon be the proud owner of coveted 2013 Buccaneers game tickets or merchandise, all simply for making 20 predictions about this year's draft.  Study it for days, if you wish, and submit your entry in the next few weeks.  Or just whip through the contest, go with your gut and take your chances…after all, even the best draft analysts miss with their predictions far more than they hit.  Or try both methods; remember, you can enter up to five times.

Then sit back and watch the draft unfold.  Mark Dominik may once again throw us for a loop with his draft-weekend maneuverings, but we're betting at least one entrant gets the Bucs' top pick right this year.
