Halftime Report: Buccaneers vs. Jaguars

The Buccaneers enter halftime leading the Jaguars, 17-14.

The Buccaneers head into halftime leading the Jaguars, 17-14, in Jacksonville in Week 2 of the preseason. The starters for both teams played roughly until the mid-point of the second quarter, with the score being the same when both first-team units left the field.

The Buccaneers scored their first touchdown when Jameis Winston found Mike Evans for a four-yard score in the second quarter. The touchdown was set up after Winston connected with Evans a few plays earlier on fourth-and-two to keep the drive alive. The Bucs' second-team offense added a touchdown of their own when Mike Glennon connected with Mike James for a five-yard score at the end of the second quarter. A 27-yard field goal by Roberto Aguayo as time expired gave the Bucs' their first lead of the game.

Both of Jacksonville's touchdowns came through the air, with Blake Bortles finding T.J. Yeldon for a touchdown in the first quarter and Allen Hurns in the second. The first half was also littered with penalties. Between the two teams, 12 flags were thrown.

The Buccaneers were without three starters for the game. Gerald McCoy, Doug Martin and Daryl Smith were all unable to go with what were described as "minor injuries."

The Jaguars are set to receive at the start of the second half.
