For the fifth time in his career, Gerald McCoy has been selected by his peers as one of the best players in the league. On Monday night, the NFL Network announced that McCoy has been selected as the No. 52 player of 2016. He was voted No. 63 a year ago.
Since arriving in Tampa Bay in 2010, McCoy has been selected to five Pro Bowls, earning the honor in each of the past five seasons. He was also selected as a first-team All-Pro in 2013. With 42 career sacks, McCoy is fourth on the Buccaneers' all-time list behind Lee Roy Selmon (78.5), Warren Sapp (77) and Simeon Rice (69.5).
McCoy was the No. 28 player in 2014 and 2015 and No. 92 in 2013. Two Buccaneers have made the list so far, with McCoy and Jameis Winston cracking the Top 100 on Monday night.
