RB Charlie Garner was hurt on this carry and may be out for the season

On Sunday night in Oakland, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Charlie Garner suffered a right knee injury that appears to be serious.

Addressing the media in his postgame press conference at Network Associates Coliseum, Head Coach Jon Gruden indicated that he thought Garner's season may be over.

"We lost a couple of key players," said Gruden. "We probably lost Charlie for the season."

Gruden will have an official report on Garner's status at his 11:00 a.m. press conference on Monday morning. That press conference will be carried live on Buccaneers.com.

The loss of Garner, Tampa Bay's leading rusher through three games, would be a significant blow to a team already struggling with key injuries. However, the Bucs will be adding to their stable of backs this week when Michael Pittman returns from his three-game suspension.
