Following a stellar performance against the Eagles in Week 11, Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David has been selected as the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week.

David recorded six tackles in the Buccaneers' victory, all of which were solo, in addition to intercepting two passes. His second interception was returned for a touchdown, marking the third time the Bucs have scored on defense this season.
David's two interceptions are tied for a team record. No linebacker in franchise history has recorded more than two picks in a single game.
This is the second time that David has been selected as the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week. He won the award for the first time back in 2013.
Through 10 games this season, David is the Buccaneers' leading tackler. He has 87 tackles, more than 10 more than any player on the team.
He has picked up 139 tackles or more in each of his past three seasons. If he continues to produce at the level he has through the first part of the season, he will complete his fourth-straight season with 139+ tackles.
