INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Andrew Luck's long, anxious wait to start practicing with the Colts is almost over.
After the Colts wrap up mini-camp and Luck finishes his final college classes Thursday, the No. 1 overall draft pick will finally start throwing passes to his new teammates when the Colts reconvene for a mandatory mini-camp next week.
Those who have spoken to Luck say he can't wait.
Luck hasn't thrown to veteran receivers Austin Collie or Reggie Wayne and hasn't been in the huddle yet with any of the projected starters along the offensive line, either.
NFL rules prohibit rookies who are still taking classes from working out with their new teams until classes end with the exception of a three-day rookie mini-camp, which Luck attended in early May.
