The Buccaneers plan to utilize the latest innovations from Twitter to provide their fans with an exciting and unprecedented NFL Draft experience this weekend (April 30 – May 2).

Highlighting the club's engagement with Twitter will be the availability of the team's top pick's jersey via Twitter Shopping (@TwitterShopping), which allows Twitter users to make online purchases without leaving the Twitter app in as few clicks as possible. The jersey will be available immediately upon announcement of the pick Thursday night exclusively through Twitter Shopping for a limited time before going on sale at the team's official online store, shop.buccaneers.com, later in the evening.

Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford lauded the team's use of Twitter, saying, "While having the top pick grants us an amazing opportunity, it is one we do not expect to have again, so we plan to make the most of it.

"So many of our fans will be experiencing the NFL Draft through both broadcast and digital platforms, especially mobile. By working with Twitter Shopping, we're providing our fans with a quick and easy way to acquire our top pick's jersey within moments of going on-sale, wherever they are."

The Bucs are the first NFL team to utilize Twitter Shopping and plan to continue to offer merchandise through the platform to account for the increase of fans engaging with the team via mobile devices.

"Twitter is the perfect real-time platform to bring football fans closer to their favorite teams and players, especially during a live event," said Josh Ober, Sports Partnerships Manager at Twitter. "We are thrilled to see the Bucs utilize numerous innovative Twitter activations to engage fans during this year's NFL Draft. All Tampa Bay fans need to do to further connect with their favorite team and newly drafted players is to follow @TBBuccaneers on Twitter."

Further leveraging Twitter's capabilities, the Bucs plan to make available the first interview with the club's top pick via Twitter Video and intend to have select Buccaneers Season Pass Members join a private Group DM with one of the Bucs top picks when the team convenes for Rookie Mini-Camp the weekend following the draft, May 8-9.

"We are always trying to provide our Season Pass Members with the type of benefits we understand to be important to them," said Ford. "Exclusive access to our players and coaches is at the top of their list and Twitter's Group DM will give us a great opportunity to bring our Members closer to our newest Bucs."
