The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 2:55 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 14 contest at Raymond James Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
As was evident since Friday's injury report, the Buccaneers' offense will be without three key pieces: right tackle Demar Dotson, tight end Luke Stocker and wide receiver Adam Humphries. Veteran Gosder Cherilus will take over for Dotson on the Bucs' line, making his first start of the season. With Humphries out and Cecil Shorts on injured reserve, the Buccaneers will look to integrate the newly-promoted receiving duo of Josh Huff and Donteea Dye into the passing attack.
The good news for the Buccaneers is that, for the second week in a row, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy will play despite getting in very little practice time during the week. In addition, veteran center Evan Smith returns to action after missing three games with a knee injury.
The Saints will be without their leading receiver, rookie wideout Michael Thomas, and their leading tackler, linebacker Craig Robertson. In addition, starting center Max Unger is out and safety Kenny Vaccaro is beginning a four-game suspension.
