Bucs-Rams Inactives: Jacquies Smith Returns

Tampa Bay's defensive front loses starting DT Akeem Spence but gets pass-rushing DE Jacquies Smith back for a prime-time matchup with the Rams.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams named their game day inactives on Thursday at 6:55 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 15 matchup in the Edward Jones Dome. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

The Buccaneers' defensive line will have a new look with end Jacquies Smith returning from a hamstring ailment but tackle Akeem Spence sitting out due to an ankle injury. The defense will also have to adjust to the loss of Bruce Carter, who stepped in last week as the new starter at middle linebacker after Kwon Alexander's suspension. On offense, the Bucs will move forward without wide receiver Vincent Jackson and guard Logan Mankins.

The Rams continue to be without top-notch pass-rusher Robert Quinn but otherwise have their starting lineup intact.
