The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles named their game day inactives on Sunday at 2:35 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Three contest at Raymond James Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
After two relatively injury-free weeks to start the season, the Buccaneers found their Week Three inactive list mostly populated by ailing players. Tampa Bay will have to try to win their home opener without three key starters: RB Doug Martin (hamstring), DE Robert Ayers (ankle) and TE Luke Stocker (ankle). WR Cecil Shorts will also have to sit out; recently-promoted WR Freddie Martino will take his spot among the active 46. In addition, rookie S Ryan Smith is active for the first time this year.
The Rams will not be missing any of their designated starters. Rookie wide receivers Nelson Spruce and Pharoh Cooper are unable to go but the Rams still have five active wideouts.
