QB Trent Dilfer injured his right shin; QB Shaun King practiced with the flu and QB Eric Zeier has not practiced since last Wednesday due to a right rib contusion.
"It was not a good day for the quarterbacks," quipped Dungy. "We were looking at Warrick taking the direct snaps."
Dungy said Dilfer, who got kicked in the right shin during Thursday's practice, would be ready to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. King, a rookie out of Tulane, will be the No. 2 quarterback.
BUCCANEERS INJURY UPDATE
The same cannot be said for WR Bert Emanuel who will miss his fourth consecutive game with a right hamstring strain. T Jason Odom will miss his sixth consecutive game with a low back strain. WR Karl Williams (right foot sprain) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Dungy said Williams ran well in practice and that his game status would be re-evaluated after Friday's practice.
CB Ronde Barber (right shoulder and ankle sprain) did not practice and Dungy said a decision on Barber's status would be made tomorrow. If Barber can not play, second-year pro Brain Kelly will start at right cornerback and CB Floyd Young will assume the nickel back position.
Tony Mayberry (back strain) RB Warrick Dunn (right knee strain), DE Steve White (right ankle sprain), G Frank Middleton (right shoulder contusion), LB Don Davis (right hamstring strain) and DT Tyoka Jackson (left knee sprain) are listed as probable for Sunday's game.
